Equipment - A Matter of Choice
When Karsh first opened his studio, he chose to work with a large-format camera, despite its size and complex set-up. Large-format cameras could produce rich and detailed images, and were considered essential by other portrait photographers such as Karsh's mentors, George Nakash and John Garo.
